4 steps to check your tax assessment notice

  • Open your new tax assessment notice (årsopgørelse)
    See if you are entitled to a tax refund or if you have tax to pay.
  • Check if the information is correct
    Correct your tax assessment notice if numbers, information or deductions are missing or incorrect. The deadline is 1 May 2023.
    Remember that you have to enter certain deductions and numbers manually.
  • Do you have tax to pay?
    Avoid additional interest charge if you pay before the deadline 3 July 2023.

  • Be one step ahead of your financial situation and your tax
    Make sure that you update numbers and information in your preliminary income assessment (forskudsopgørlse) for 2023 to pay the right tax - no more and no less - each month.

you can only get a deduction for the days you actually travel to and from work. This is why you can't include days working from home, holidays or days when you are out sick.
