Get a tax card and a personal tax number (CPR number)
You need a tax card when you work in Denmark. If you do not have one, you pay 55% tax of your salary.
Because you do not have a residence permit yet, we will also make a personal tax number (CPR number) for you. This number is your personal identification number.
A digital tax card
A tax card digital and it tells your employer how much tax you should pay. We make it and send it to your employer.
A personal tax number is your personal ID number
All Danish authorities, banks, doctors and employers use your personal tax number (CPR number) to identify you. We make the number and send it to your employer who will then give it to you.
Your personal tax number (CPR number) consists of 10 digits. The first 6 digits are your birthday (day, month, year) and the last 4 digits are random. Example 010185-1234.
