We keep an eye that everybody pays the correct taxes, duties and VAT on time. 

For individuals the tax payment is often done by your employer based on your preliminary income assessment. You should check and accept your preliminary income assessment each year. Then we make a calculation to see if you are entitled to a refund or if you have to pay outstanding tax. 

If you have a business, you pay tax based on what you have declared your expected profit to be. And you pay duties in relation to your VAT calculation and calculation of other duties.

We send out reminders about upcoming payments and if you do not pay on time, you will receive a reminder. If you still do not pay, we will transfer the payment for debt collection with the Danish Debt Collection Agency (Gældsstyrelsen). 

If you fail to make the payment, we may decide to do an extended check on your business.
