You register your business at virk.dk (please note that this site is in Danish)

As a sole proprietorship, you can log on using your NemID/MitID.

Enter expected business profits in field 221 or losses in field 435 in your preliminary income assessment, if you are starting a new sole proprietorship. If you do not make an entry, we will assess your profits to be somewhere between DKK 50,000 and 100,000.

Your business should have its own NemKonto linked to its CVR number, so you can keep your private and business finances separate. But you may also use your existing private NemKonto as your business NemKonto. A NemKonto is an ordinary bank account for money transfers from the public sector to your business, VAT for example, if we owe you. You set up a NemKonto with your bank.

When you have registered your business, you can find your business registration certificate by logging on to E-tax for businesses (TastSelv Erhverv) and selecting 'Profil' and then 'Registreringsbevis' (Registration certificate).

If your business is renamed, it moves, changes industry or business form or if you hire employees, you must register these changes at virk.dk.

Loans via the Danish Growth Fund

You can apply for a guarantee which is a loan guarantee that you apply for in your bank when it grants you a loan to start your business. The Danish Growth Fund is special as it offers loans to businesses that involve a certain degree of risk.

Your business is automatically assigned a tax account, and you find your tax account by logging on to E-tax for businesses (TastSelv Erhverv). It gives you a general view of your business declarations, charges and payments to and from the Danish Tax Agency (Skattestyrelsen).
