How to register a non-Danish business

When your non-Danish business sells goods or services in Denmark, you have to register your business in Denmark.

It all depends on if your business has a business address/contact address in Denmark or not.

How to find your registration certificate

You can always find your business registration certificate in E-tax for businesses.

Log on to E-tax for businesses (TastSelv Erhverv) (Choose English in the upper right corner)
Select Profile and contact details
Select Download registration certificate/deregistration certificate in English (pdf) or Hent registreringbevis/ophørsbevis (pdf)

There, you can see what obligations your business is registered for. Such obligations could be VAT, labour market tax, excise duties, etc.

Don't forget to report and pay corresponding to your business obligations. You do so in E-tax for businesses.

Remember to inform us of changes if you close down your business

You have to inform us, if there are any changes to your business in Denmark. It could be a change of address or that you start or stop having employees.

If you close down your business in Denmark or in your home country, you need to deregister your business.

If you do so, you avoid getting fees and similar for not reporting on time.
