We have updated your tax assessment notice for 2023

Dear  Sir or Madam

Please note that the tax assessment notice (årsopgørelsen) as well as contact and payment information is now available in English at skat.dk/tastselv.

We have updated your tax assessment notice (årsopgørelse) for 2023 because we have received new information. The change(s) could mean that you have to pay more tax (outstanding tax) or that we owe you money (tax refund). It is therefore important you check that the information is correct.

How to check your tax assessment notice

See our proposed changes to your tax assessment notice by logging on to our self-service system at skat.dk/tastselv. Select ‘Tax assessment notice’ followed by 2023.

The boxes with the proposed changes are marked 'B'. See where the information comes from under ‘Skatteoplysninger’ (Tax information).

If you agree with the changes, you don’t have to do anything further. You will later receive an updated tax assessment notice. If you accept our proposed changes in E-tax (TastSelv), you will receive your tax assessment notice sooner.

If you disagree

If you think our proposed changes are incorrect, please:
• Contact whoever reported the information (such as your employer, bank or pension provider) and ask them to change the information, or

• write to us and explain which information you believe to be incorrect, and attach documentation to support the correct information. You can do so either by logging on at skat.dk/tastselv and clicking ‘Contact’ (top-right corner) or by sending a letter to Skattestyrelsen, Postboks 9, 4930 Maribo, Denmark.

You will find the deadline for sending us your reply on your updated tax assessment notice.
