We refund overpaid tax to your NemKonto from 24 April 2026. 

You can check and update your tax assessment notice until 20 May. Usually, the deadline is 1 May, but we have extended the deadline this year to give you more time to make sure everything is ok.

If you have paid too little tax, you will have outstanding tax to pay. If you make your payment before 1 July, you avoid high interest.

Don't forget to claim certain deducitons and allowances and report other information in your tax assessment notice. You can check and update it until 20 May 2026.

If you didn’t get a tax assessment notice it may be because: 

• You or your spouse has your own business
• You have had your own business
• You have non-Danish income (including non-Danish shares and securities)
• You lived outside Denmark for part of the year
• You're a widon/widower or an heir
